Maintains over 25 years of experience in systems architecture, infrastructure design and implementation of enterprise information technology solutions, including operating as the proprietor of an IT consulting firm for 16 years servicing SMB and Enterprise accounts throughout the country. His driven purpose is to provide solutions to ‘users’ who wish to stay connected with ‘their data’ among the increasing challenges of both the legacy and modern data-center infrastructure.
In the current role as Enterprise IT Architect at Formulus Black, he continues to provide insight and guidance to those looking to increase performance within existing environments while minimizing the extensive uplift that is normally required to achieve performance gains. Using the Forsa software stack, Duane continues to assist in the adoption of In-Memory Solutions to transform environments to achieve extreme performance no changes to application software and minimal change to existing server and datacenter infrastructure.
Over his tenure, Duane was sought out and was selected as the IT Architect responsible for delivery of the portable infrastructure used for the 1998 Nagano Olympics “Fan Mail” project utilized for a number of Olympic venues globally. He has also been tasked to write a number of Professional Certification Exams and provide content for IBM Redbooks.
After recruitment to FalconStor Software in 2005, he spent two years modernizing the Enterprise Testing Labs at FalconStor HQ and developed an environment used for solution validation in the “proof-of-concept” process which was also used for the education and training of internal employees as well as channel partners.
For the next ten years, Duane has supported Sales as a seasoned and trusted customer advisor. In his “self-titled” role as Solutions Ambassador, as a skilled presenter and public speaker, he has introduced and showcased data protection, business continuity, disaster recovery and deduplication platforms to various levels within different organizations. He has also provided a better understanding of data protection capability to the masses through onsite customer engagements, white-paper creation, online discussions and various visits to user groups across North American regions.
